Health and Exercise

In times of difficulty, stress and depression can become common, and regular exercise has been shown to have significant benefits in easing these conditions by releasing endorphins that improve overall well-being. We encourage people to participate in exercise groups in our community to take advantage of these health benefits. To facilitate this, we have appointed group leaders to lead basic training sessions like walking and jump rope exercises. Participants are also encouraged to take part in the Mater Heart run, an annual event that motivates people to come together for a 15km walk/run and enjoy a day of fun and laughter away from their normal routines. We believe in the importance of setting goals and practicing discipline, and our exercise program is a great way to instill these values in participants.
