Computer labs

In many marginalized areas of rural Kenya, a significant number of youths have never had the opportunity to receive any form of computer training and they have never seen a computer. This lack of access makes these regions an ideal focus for our intervention, as bridging this digital divide is crucial for the empowerment of the local youth.

The Grow And Rise organization has taken proactive steps to address this gap by establishing computer labs in these underserved communities. Our initiative is not only about setting up facilities; we are actively working on expanding the number of computer labs to reach even more marginalized areas. The project has garnered enthusiastic support from various stakeholders, including children, teachers, parents, and community leaders, all of whom recognize the transformative potential of digital literacy.

Currently with the few computers that we procured, children in these communities are engaging in introductory computer courses that provide them with essential basic training. This foundational knowledge is designed to equip them with the skills necessary to navigate a computer-driven world effectively.

We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to empower the youth in rural Kenya. By providing them with access to technology and the skills to use it, we are preparing them for future success in an increasingly digital society. This training will not only serve as a vital stepping stone for their personal and professional development but will also contribute to the overall growth and prosperity of their communities. We believe that investing in their education today will yield significant benefits tomorrow, fostering a generation that is well-equipped to thrive in a technology-oriented future.
